A normal result for fasting blood glucose ranges from 70 – 100 mg/dl. according to criteria set by the american diabetes association, a higher than normal fasting blood sugar between 100 to 125 mg/dl (5.6 to 6.9 mmol/l) may indicate prediabetes.. I don’t know anything about it other than what my wife goes through with this stuff. she doesn’t have diabetes but monitors her blood sugar levels frequently.. 102 is just elevated and probably the result of those pretzels. doctors are looking for fasting under 100. non-diabetics’ fasting is usually in the 80’s, maybe 90’s..
